heat wave is here

Things keep heating up here in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. We are looking at 100-degree temperatures at the hottest part of the day which feels like between 105 and 110. Rain is not in the immediate forecast, but we are hoping for a chance of showers early next week. This has been a blistering hot summer and there looks like no relief in the near future.

With this said it is critical that your cooling system is working properly. Be sure to follow these tips below during this heat wave, these will hopefully help you avoid costly AC repairs.

  • Change your Air Filters monthly.
  • Keep your vents clean and unblocked.
  • Keep debris off your outside condenser.
  • Make sure your drain line is not clogged up.
  • Be sure your thermostat is not near appliances that produce heat.
  • Raise the temperature on your thermostat slightly to help your AC efficiency.
  • Repair any air leaks around your windows or under your doors so that cool air can escape through.

We, at Action Heating and Air Conditioning, hope this little information was beneficial to you. Staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter are important to your overall health.
